"Take Control Of Your Health Naturally"
Mental Health
This topic can be a very debatable one. Metal health is defined as a level of psychological well-being, or an absence of mental illness. What does that really mean? Who defines what normal is anyway? I prefer to think of it from the positive psychology or holism perspective and define mental health as an individual's ability to enjoy life and create balance between life's activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. Doesn't that sound much better than just absence of mental illness or normal.
I for one think that all of us have some type of mental issues at some point in our lives. If you haven't yet, just live a little. It's coming. People have placed such a stigma on the word mental health. However mental conditions are characterized by alterations in thinking mood or behavior associated with distress or impaired functioning. Life is not kind. We are all here and in it together.
People struggling with mental issues may be experiencing stress, depression, anxiety, relationship problems, grief, addictions, ADHD, mood disorders, etc. These issues are very treatable and can be overcome to live a very happy and productive life. Remember the definition I use for mental health? Mental Health - An individual's ability to enjoy life and create balance between life's activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. Fabulous, right?
There are plenty of preventative measures you can take to keep your mental wellness in-tact. They include things like diet, exercise, sleep, and stress relief.
Mental wellness treatment can include:
1. Counseling
2. Natural Remedies
3. Diet and Exercise
4. Meditation
5. Medication
Your mental wellness is important and it is real. You are not crazy. It is just as important for you and your family to take care of your mental health as it is for you to take care of your physical health.
Neglected mental wellness leads to breakdowns, depression, and is quite frankly abuse to yourself and eventually to others.
